New Image: IC 2177 Seagull Nebula

IC 2177, the head of the Seagull Nebula. The nebula is a blend of HOO and RGB. The stars are RGB.

Orion 200mm f/4 Newtonian
Atik 383L+

20x 600s Ha, 1x1 (03:20:00)
28x 900s O3, 1x1 (07:00:00)
10x 120s Red, 2x2 (00:20:00)
10x 120s Green, 2x2 (00:20:00)
10x 120s Blue, 2x2 (00:20:00)

Total exposure: 11:20:00

Hi Kathy. A beautiful IC 2177 (Seagull Nebula) image in HOO and RGB light with your 200mm f/4 Newtonian reflector. Excellent contrast, well framed, and you really brought out the nebulosity color and details. The central star HD 53367 shines nicely and the seagull outline is easily recognized in this capture. Thanks for sharing this with us on here Kathy and keep up your great work.
