asiair "service not connected"

#1

Post by 1jimalexander »

I'm using an ASIAIR Plus with an Ioptron cem70g mount.
I have successfully used it using my iphone and an Ipad I've had for a while.
I purchased a WIFI Only ipad recently to dedicate to the ASIAIR.
I can connect to the ASiAIR wifi with the new Ipad but the APP won't recognize it.
"Service Unconnected", "ASIAIR not found".
WLAN button is green (can't turn off).
LED STATES: WIFI working correctly(solid red), "SYS" is blinking green.

Does anyone have a suggestion for troubleshooting?

Thanks,
Jim

I have a 70G, how are you getting around not using the iOptron Commander app?

I'm just now trying to figure out all the connectivity issues with this mount. I can connect to the Commander from the 70G's own WiFi signal. Is this something you are trying?

I don't know what the Commander App is.
I power up my mount with 12v from the Pegasus power box.
My mount is connected to ASIAIR with the USB 3.0 port on the mount.
The power box is powered by an AC adapter.
I have a usb drive inserted into the power box for storing the pics.
I power up the mount. Use hand control to go to center position.
Turn on ASIAIR after setting it as the WIFI on my device. "ENTER DEVICE".
The ASIAIR populates all cells (mount, lat, long, cameras, etc.
With my new Ipad I get the result mentioned earlier when "ENTER DEVICE"

I think we are speaking of apples and oranges. I'm still in the PC laptop world of communicating with my mount. Sorry, I can't be more help.
