My son took some snapshots of the Milky Way at the Jacob Lake campground an hour North of the Grand Canyon last year. I helped him with that and processed one of them. I have fond memories of that trip because 2 days later we crossed the Grand Canyon North to South in one day, which was a pretty iconic hike.

My son took all the pictures during the hike but there were so many of them that he usually left them on his camera and disk without sorting through them. So, over the Xmas holidays I got a copy and finally sorted them and made a nice collection. I will see if I can post them online, but I will have to look for new space as my OneDrive is almost full.

This picture was taken with a Canon T3 for 30 seconds. I probably overcooked it a bit, but the part of the MW straight up is not the brightest.

Nice exposure and framing as the pine trees are pointing right up to the Milky Way.
