A Good Beginner's Website
I was cleaning out old dead links last night and came across this, still-live, website that still has quite a bit of still useful information.
https://www.photographingspace.com/
EDIT: how many times can you use the word still in a sentence. My new personal best is three.

Re: A Good Beginner's Website
Thanks JT; I read your post this AM; great site! I learned more that I ever knew sipping my coffee and going through some of all that.
If I ever get a clear night there's a lot of that I'd like to try. Makes me think even I could do it
Thanks again!
