The Simulator is as good as anything I've seen to help calibrate your eyes and your expectations. As of now, this is the best website/simulator that will disabuse you of the notion that the image you will see through the EP will be similar to what you see on an AP image.

Make sure you go to and use the advanced telescope simulator.
