Hickson 30

Hickson Compact Group 30 consists of the four galaxies at the center of the image:

MCG+00-12-051 (HCG 30a, PGC 15620 and others), the spiral at the right (west). This one is located approximately 208 million light-years away.

MCG+00-12-054 (HGC 30b, PGC 15631 and others), the spiral to the south. This one is located approximately 204 million light-years away according to the same 2007 survey referenced above.

PGC 15624 (HGC 30c) the spiral to the north.

PGC 15636 (HGC 30d) the spiral at the left (east).

These are located in the corner of Eridanus near Orion and Taurus.

Luminance – 24x600s – 240 minutes – binned 1x1
RGB – 8x300s – 40 minutes each – binned 2x2

360 minutes total exposure – 6 hours

Imaged December 16th, 19th and 21st, 2022 and January 13th, 2023 from Dark Sky New Mexico at Rancho Hidalgo (Animas, New Mexico) with a SBIG STF-8300M on an Astro-Tech AT12RCT at f/8 2432mm.
