I had nice clear skies here in NH, USA today, so I got a chance for some Solar observing:

sun-1116.jpg

The Stellina simply takes snapshots while Solar observing. I tried to get a good one.

Very nice images Stephen!

I hope to run into one of these scopes at a star party, intriguing to say the least.

The planet pics are much better with the latest update. Before they were smaller with less detail. I know the software would have to be much different, but I would like to have a mosaic mode.

Here is my recent Stellina image of the Sun today at Noon EST from NH:

IMG_0055.jpeg

I heard that there is some good activity in white light recently, so I thought I'd give it a try before the clouds close in again for us.
The seeing wasn't the best, but at least I got something!

Stephen & Vern,

Thank you for posting your images. Your EAA scopes are really versatile. Can't wait to see what else you and your scopes can achieve.

Many thanks

We have a club member who gets surprisingly good shots with a Stellina in a gray / white LP zone just outside of the city. Very tempting, but the price is beyond my astro budget right now. :(

I haven't had a clear night in mid Michigan for weeks, has anyone been able to get an image of comet C 2022 E3?

I've been clouded out since the Holidays - completely throughout January this year.

I *finally* got a clear night last night - WHEW!

Here is M42 (the Orion Nebula) in mosaic mode, 196 stacked 10 second images:

Here is NGC-40 (the Bow Tie Nebula), 90 stacked 10 second images:

I'm *very* glad to be able to get some observing in!

I am going to start looking into EAA as an option. Previously I had panned Unistellar but the movement is probably here to stay.
