Sunspots in awful conditions
Conditions were poor. Really poor. Or even worse than that. The lure of an active sun and a mere shaft of sunlight low in the south west drew me outside. I am as certain as day is day and night is night that had it been clear, I would have seen many more sunspots and, with it being a poor month, I was grateful for the three I saw, rather than lamenting the may more I didn't. I used my binoculars and filter to make a drawing.

Hey, at least you got out, it's clear here but too darn windy and cold.
Clear Skies,

Re: Sunspots in awful conditions
Hello Philip. A very nice sketch of solar active regions using your binoculars and filter in white light. Braving the weather paid off for you with this result but we are in the same boat as Jeff. The cold is bad enough but the high winds make it almost unbearable to spend much time outside here lately. Thanks for sharing this work with us Philip and the best of wishes for better weather for all of us soon.

Re: Sunspots in awful conditions
I managed a few images using my new ZWO 120MC camera and the Mak.
I haven't perfected getting focus really sharp, something to work on...
