A foggy day and the Moon

Post by Thefatkitty »

Hey all, hope you're all good :D

It has been cold in the mornings and warm in the afternoon here. For the past two weeks I've gone from heater in the morning to AC in the truck in the afternoon. Not to mention most mornings have had a fair amount of foggy conditions.

This morning topped it all. I had this from when I left at 7AM to after 11AM.

I finished work at 1:30, and there were still foggy patches along the highway on the way home.

After dinner, I took a look outside and saw some clarity. Sort of... Jupiter and the Moon were very prominent and a wonderful sight! BTW. they will both be about 5 degrees apart tomorrow night... ;)

I thought why not, and took out my WO 61mm with my Canon EOS 550D, and Baader Glear Glass and UV/IR filter. Grab and go. The skies were not perfect in any way, but I just wanted to see what I could get.

I'm happy with the results given the still prominent moisture; the camera setting were ISO 800 at 1/2500th sec exp.

A short post. Been a lot going on here, and I'm looking forward to the weekend. Supposed to be 20+C (70+F) on Saturday and clear skies from tomorrow to Monday. Yeah, we'll see how that woks out

Thanks for reading and all the best,
Mark
