Arp 70 is part of Arp’s “Spirals with small, high surface brightness companions on arms” class. This one consists of:

UGC 934 (PGC 5085, VV 314a and others) is the odd spiral.

PGC 212740 is the smaller companion.

These are located approximately 460 million light-years away in Pisces.

Luminance – 24x600s – 240 minutes – binned 1x1
RGB – 10:8:8x300s – 50:40:40 minutes each – binned 2x2

370 minutes total exposure – 6 hours 10 minutes

Imaged December 14th, 15th and 16th, 2022 from Dark Sky New Mexico at Rancho Hidalgo (Animas, New Mexico) with a SBIG STF-8300M on an Astro-Tech AT12RCT at f/8 2432mm.
