That's a beauty Steve. Lovely colors and lots of low-level nebulosity.

Of course you have the Flaming Star Nebula too! You just missed the Fly Nebula. Really nice WFOV image.

thank you Steve. My first framing included more of the Flame and the spider was out of view. I thought it would look cool in the corner.

A friend posted his version on Twitter and the amount of background HA he had was incredible. Then I noticed it was 36hrs of HA. I tried to get another 8 hours of HA two nights ago but focus and guiding went to hell in a hand basket. Throwing away 500 minutes of data was tough.

Thanks.

Remember to refocus after turning your dew heaters on and the scope acclimates :telescopewink:

Outside temp didn't change much but that sure did change focus and unfortunately I went to bed.

Spectacular image Steve. Congrats. It's a shame you lost 500 minutes of data. Yet another reason I love NINA. It would have refocused after HFR drifted a bit.
Have you tried NINA?

Thanks Greg, I don't need NINA as it's not the software. I don't have an EAF on the Raptor. My problem is pure rookie mistakes from forgetfulness, such as turning the DEW heaters on in the middle of the session.
