Europa Clipper mission update
Launch is planned for just under two years with the craft reaching Jupiter in 2030. The mission is not designed to find life but to search out areas where life may exist. Later missions will look at these. I did once hear that they were lookig at an "Europa submarine" to check out the oceans but that mission, if it comes to fruition, will be a long ways down the road.
Apart from the regular issues presented by space the craft must survive launch plus the strong radiation surrounding Jupiter. An exact copy of the craft and its modules is being tested.
