M33 - LRGB

#1

Post by DMouse »

Hi, so I decided to add some RGB and more L data to what I had. RGB was 10x 3min each binned 2x2 and the L was a total of 19x 3min at binning 1x1. Total just under 2.5 hours of exposure time. Processed in PixInsight with Flats, MFD's and Darks (No BIAS!!, not needed for a CMOS). Didn't do anything too fancy with Noise reduction just some ACDNR with a Lightness mask. Tried a Masked stretch on the RGB but didn't come out well so just did a manual Histogram stretch.
Ideally this needs some HA data and a fair bit more of the LRGB to really pop, but its pretty solid so far.

I love this target Paul. It was the first Messier object I ever imaged!!
You've captured the spiral arms well along with lots of low level nebulosity.
I played with it in PI and there is more there if you want to "go after it".

Thanks for sharing.
