No. The abundances on HD 140283 indicate it is in the second generation after enrichment by the earliest Population III stars. So it is ALSO a trace of Population III only. There should be none of these earliest stars left. Only traces of Population III stars like the abundances observed in the article or the abundances of HD 140283. In fact the observed enrichment of heavy elements (deficient as they are, compare to the Sun) in HD 140283 indicates that idea of it being older than the universe is absurd.
