Another capture/process from my five night spree last week.
I feel rich to have collected 3 datasets in a week after 4 months of bad skies!
Skywatcher HEQ5 (Rowan mod)
Sharpstar 61 EDPHII w/ 0.8FR/
ASI533
Captured with N.I.N.A., PHD2, and GreenSwampServer
Processed with Pixinsight (2x drizzle)
623 sixty second lights over two nights (~11.5 hours)
First image with the new ZWO UV/IR cut filter. I really like this filter so far. I kept getting color fringing on the bright stars with my Sybony UV/IR cut filter and I kept going back to my IDAS LPS D-1 light pollution filter. I really like imaging broadband targets with only a UV/IR filter. I was hopeful that this new filter would work well and I am happy with it so far.
My goal was to capture some nice subtle dustiness in the background with a bright blue Iris was my goal.
I have never experimented with trying to bring out the background dust since I rarely collect it.
I prefer images that are not overwhelmed by background dust, so this works for me.
Hope that you like it! Comments are very welcome!
