As Steve @STEVE333 said in his Lobster Claw and Bubble post, it is never to late to learn and grow. In his case it was pushing the color a little more. In my case it is resisting the urge to push my images too hard in an attempt to squeeze everything possible out of them.

I took one more pass at my Iris data from September 1, this time easing off the ROI region in the StarTools AutoDev module to present a more controlled and balanced Iris image. I start to see the wisdom of what several of you have mentioned about my images over the year - sometime less IS more.

Yes!

This process turned out wonderfully!

I really like everything about it.
Very pleasant view of this beautiful nebula and the surrounding dust field. Very nice coloration too!
The gentle process (and robust at the same) of the Iris is spot on.

Nice work Bob!
I found that I got better results using "FilmDev" instead of "AutoDev" in StarTools.

When I used ST, I much preferred Film Development too, however, it was discouraged on the ST forum feedback.
For me, I got much better stars and better control over stretching.

Another lovely image i like this one the best great
