Arp 103

Arp 103 (Zwicky's Triplet) consists of:

MCG+08-31-003 (PGC 59061, VV 710 and others), the brightest galaxy at the center.
PGC 59062 to the right (west of MCG+09-31-003.
MCG+08-31-003a (PGC 59065 and others) above and possibly connected to MCG+08-31-003.

Part of Arp’s, ‘Elliptical and elliptical-like galaxies connected to spirals,’ these are located approximately 425 million light-years away in Hercules.

NGC 6241 (PGC 59085 and others) is the spiral to the left (east) or Arp 103.

Luminance – 31x600s – 310 minutes – binned 1x1
RGB – 8x300s – 40 minutes each – binned 2x2

430 minutes total exposure – 7 hours 10 minutes

Imaged over seven nights in April and May, 2022 from Dark Sky New Mexico at Rancho Hidalgo (Animas, New Mexico) with a SBIG STF-8300M on an Astro-Tech AT12RCT at f/8 2432mm.
