Observing list thru BigDog 16:
Moon, low in sky to south 19mm televue plus crossed polaroid filter to take the sting out, 210x
Copernicus, lots of oohs and awe's.
Plato, for a different type,
Tycho, an icon of moon peeping,
Albiero, 30mm 80deg
M57, just visible smoke ring above moon glowed skies,
M27, a faint cotton ball almost lost in bright skies,
M13, field filled with mini-stars, many wows and cools,
Double-double, 12mm Ortho for 320x, poor seeing but split and seen by all,
Then something different, computer screen viewing of invisible nebulae,
North America 60 sec exposure thru Rokinon 135mm at f2 with asi1600MC and 12nm
Sadr plus Butterfly and Crescent Nebula.
I need to add that one special guest was the 95 year old mother of my neighbor, her first time viewing and though difficult to get that exit pupil in the eye, she did see the sights with help and was very pleased.
All said they would be back in late Sept for the planet line-up.
I emailed the group a pic of all they viewed from my archives for their memory scrapbooks,
An enjoyable night all home by 11PM.
