Just a Heelllloooooo.

#1

Post by ApophisAstros »

Hi from sunny england,

I started imaging about 5 years ago with a Skywatcher 120p and a DSLR hence, first image.
Image

Dabbled with Solar imaging about 2 years ago with a Lunt scope hence image , fortunate shot.

Image

I have sinced passed on the Solar scope as too much imaging day and night. a mans gotta know his limitations.

Have recently entered the Spectroscopy field with the Paton Hawsksley Star Analyser , example here.

Image

Eventually migrating to the present dual imaging kit of Redcat51 with an ATIK460ex ( EFW- ATIK LRGB ,Baader Ha Oiii Sii) side by side with a QHY183c OSC (MFW-Triband filter ,Paton Hawksley Star Analyser 200) on an Altair Astro ED66-r , all on the EQ6-r Pro which i started imaging with. For controlling the mount i have an Eagle3s control unit all integrated with Eqmod.
Most recent image with present kit.
Image
Have started creating a web site.
https://sites.google.com/view/rogernicholson/narrowband

Hope i haven`t missed anything..

Hey Roger!

Very nice intro. You have surely dabbled into some really cool aspects of astro-imaging. The spectroscopy is really foreign to me, but it sounds super interesting and I hope to look into it someday. I also want to try out EAA.

Very nice to meet you, Roger. Good to have you here!
