In just under 10 minutes I had my C80-HD, EOS 550D, Baader 3.8 OD film, SC and UV/IR filters set to go. I took my old (1996) CG4 mount out, set it up and loaded the scope with all its attachments onto it.
Japanese and German optics are such a good combo...
The wind was whipping the tree branches around, but the skies were clear during all that for about 15 minutes. I've been taking solar pics with all this at ISO 800 and 1/1250th sec exp, and today I thought to try that, and as well at 1/100th sec.
Of course, looking at it on the camera viewfinder, it really doesn't look too promising.... So bright and green! But trust me, it all works out well in the end.
I was really happy with the stack at 1/1000th. I took 40 shots; this is the best 50% (20) aligned with PIPP and stacked with AS3. I tried some sharpening with
No processing at all.
