Sasha was very clingy the whole day, and when I cooked myself a steak on the BBQ she sat on me though I know she doesn't like the smoke from it. I kept getting this look like, make it stop!!
It was a nice clear day, no humidity for a change. Even though the Sun is kind of quiet (no large spots) I took out my WO 61mm with Baader 3.8 solar film and camera with a Baader Solar Continuum and UV/IR cut filters at just after 7PM. All this is on my mount I made from the tripod from an old Celestron SLT 102 and some plumbing pipe. The whole thing weighs in at just under 8lbs with the camera, very solid and so grab and go.
The Sun was low in the west at 7PM; doing this earlier would have been better. However, I did have the needy feline... AR3046 is on the upper left, AR3047 is in the lower middle, and AR3040 is rotating off the right side of the Sun at the limb. Planets are to scale.
