TSS and gmail.

We are having serious issues with any and all emails sent from TSS to gmail accounts. (this includes those of you who are expecting to get notifications for subscribed topics).

All of the TSS emails are going into the gmail spam folder.

It's an easy fix by just checking the "Not spam" box.

If you need help with this just PM me and I will walk you through it.

Sorry for the inconvenience but I have spent many hours trying to get the problem fixed and nothing has worked.

This ONLY is a gmail problem so if you use another email program you should be okay.

Thanks for your co-operation.

Doesn't always work, this ticking 'not spam' - nor adding TSS as a contact - gmail ignores it!
( I've been doing this with mail from Steven Ramsden ( solarchat ), for over a year, with no change accepted by gmail. )

You seem to have changed the 'from' address.

yes we did...

using "admin" can trigger a rejection. So we got 'creative'.

The forum software has been changed to help support gmail's policies for email receipt so we are going to do those updates today to help fix the issue.

Thanks Gordon, gmail has good intentions but can be a mite picky!

the_team seems to be having more success for me - might use it on my Forum!

Thanks

There are still some issues.

I'm working on making some changes to the content of the emails to see if I can get them all to pass gmails restrictions.

Recent emails over the last 36 hours have come directly to my inbox.

Nothing in Spam, except those from S Ramsden :Astronomer1:
