Just use DSS for stacking, I bet it will work with no problems.

Nah I have come to the conclusion that the core data ... the 'lights' are junk due to improper camera settings. As in I completely forgot you need to set up the ZWO ASI camera settings. So basically it was at Gain=0 Offest=0. To make things worse they were short exposures. I shortened the exposures when I noticed the histogram getting saturated. It never dawned on me about the camera settings until I started to try to process them.

When you stretch a single frame a lot of the stars are green which means that those cells were pretty much saturated as in above and beyond full well.

I'm just going to have to wait until the weather finally clears and get some appropriate data and try again.

We've all been there Tom. I remember taking a full set of light frames with the Bahtinov Mask still on the telescope. Or, being in such a hurry that I forgot to focus the telescope, or...

Hopefully the next set off data will be just fine!

I think we have all done the bathinov mask thing at least once :)

Finally going to have some clear to mostly moony skies tonight. But good enough to get a fresh set of data, this time with the camera configured :D

Will report back in a day or two.

I'm so glad to be using autofocus now. No more trips out to the telescope to remove the mask!

Good luck tonight!! Looking forward to hearing good things.

Other thing about auto focus is it is the final key to the fully automated process ;)

Sequence ran all night so I have plenty of data to go over. Even got a current set of flats. The sequence did fail on the first target change, not sure why but fortunately that was early in the evening so I was able to recover from it. After that things evidently went smoothly.

I will get to the data later today hopefully

Tom - do you see the "blemish" on the individual frames or is it something introduced during calibration?
