Astrotech is a specific brand manufactured for Astronomics who supply their own QA/QC, SvBony manufactures nothing and is only a re-seller.
I would say this is probably generally true, but within that definition also lives customization of OEM products that are branded by others as well. So in some cases it appears they take an existing optic that is being used by others, sometimes tweak it, and then put their own OTA/mechanicals around it. An example would be the AT125EDL and the TS-Optics125SD-APO. Specs on the two are the same but one uses FPL-53 (TS) and the other FDC-100 (AT). The TS became available first, the AT later (probably given the substitution of FCD-100).

The TS-125 is interesting because the focuser uses an extension tube. With tube in place it has 150mm backfocus like the AT which is insufficient for binoviewing without an OCA. Remove the extension and you get a wonderful 210mm backfocus which is more than sufficient for binoviewing without the need for an OCA/GPC so you can get the full TFOV out of the eyepieces you use.

Still waiting for clear skies to take mine out. There were obviously cloud seeds in the shipping box.

Looks like a great scope! I have been tempted a few times to buy a refractor from AstroTech.
