For grins, I put my iPhone on the left barrel of my 15x70s and aimed through the right barrel with my left eye. Three second exposure using the free version Starry Cam app . +1*F outside so my battery was dead in short order.

W/L - C80-HD with Baader 5.0 & 3.8 Solar film, Solar Continuum 7.5nm and UV/IR filters with a Canon EOS 550D.
