Harmonic mounts

#1

Post by JeffBevan »

Anyone with any first hand experience with a harmonic mount. Zwo is now offering an iteration for relatively light loads. Hoybm seems to be pretty well respected. I'm considering updating my CEM 60ec, looking at Harmonic.

I only skimmed the email, but it looks like it would be a nice upgrade.

I've seen the email also, but I'm not really interested in one. I have put my grubby fingers on the Sharpstar Harmonic drive and was shaking my head NO No NO while looking at it. I have been interested in a Rainbow mount but have since switched gears and am seriously looking into a Planewave mount. I looked at the specs and I only have one scope that it can handle and that would be my Askar FRA600, Everything else is too heavy for it.
Of all the things I've lost, I miss my mind the most! :tease:

Scope: Explorer Scientific 127CF, Askar FR600, Planewave CDK 14""
Guide Scope & Camera: ASI 174, ZWO OAG-L
Camera: QHY 268 Mono, QHY 600 Mono
Mount: Planewave L-350, Skywatcher EQ8-Rh Pro, Losmandy G11
Accessories: Moonlite Nitecrawler WR30, WR35, Eagle 3&4 Pro, QHY CFW3/7 Filterwheel, QHY Polemaster,
Software: N.I.N.A., CdC, Planewave 3, Pixinsight
