Here is Jupiter that I took on September 7th. I broke out the Apertura AD12 @F5 and put it on my CEM70 mount. The seeing was good and was mostly clear so I decided to take 3 different sets each with different Magnifications of Jupiter with the ZWO174mm placed at different distances with my Telvue "Big Barlow". This one is the middle magnification, I didn't process the others yet. I think it would be about 3.5x ? I used a 2" Orion extension tube paired up with another 35mm 2" Apertura
For capture, I used Sharpcap and took 50-second exposures (I am having strange FC issues with my filter wheel which I hope to resolve soon) Now for processing. I used several programs for this. I took the .ser file from Sharpcap and put it in PIPP to center and organize them by quality. Each image composed from the correct colo filter had about 5000 to7000 images in it. I took the best 15% and stacked them then put it in Registax for wavelets for the first time. After I got something sharp enough but still left room for further sharpening. I then made image measurements in WinJups and Derotated them then I went back to Registax for wavelets and then off to Photoshop CC to recombine the Red, Green, and Blue images and finish it off.
So this consists of 5 sets of Red Green and Blue images and it was taken with Jupiter at around 35-36 degrees in altitude. My peak for Jupiter is 36 degrees this summer.
Thanks for Looking
