Manufacturer locations
I did not know Meade produced eyepieces in south america. Does anyone know what country they are actually made in?

Re: Manufacturer locations
His answer was: "Nope. Only sources on eyepieces historically were Japan, Taiwan, and China. I have never heard of any factories in South America."
He went on to speculate that someone may be getting the Meade factory in Mexico (just across the border from San Diego) mixed up with eyepiece manufacturing. The Mexican factory makes the top end SCTs.
Hope this helps.
Bill
Many small scopes, plus a Lightbridge 12, LX 70-8R,6R,6M
Many eyepieces, just not really expensive ones.

Exactly. I'm surprised it's not an American company website.Lady Fraktor wrote: ↑Thu Sep 02, 2021 3:35 am I guess they do not understand the difference between Mexico and south america

Re: Manufacturer locations
They might have had a production run that was sent to South America, and the eyepiece source could have been a retailer there,
but there were never any Meade eyepieces made there.
Currently using a 12.5" dob and a 4" apo refractor
