NGC4111 and Friends

#1

Post by sdbodin »

This group is in Canes Venatici. The main subject NGC4111 is the bright lenticular gal in the middle, on edge as are so many of her kin, strange. A couple low surface brightness ones to the right, top UGC7089, bottom UGC7094. Small one below center, NGC4109 and a couple dim, small companions. And to the upper left NGC4117/4118. Image in good seeing, but transparency poor.

Imaged thru Meade 16 LX200 at f6.2, 2500mm efl, ASI1600MC-cool OSC 22 of 30 two minute exposures used (PHD2 went on a break for the last 8), gain 200, offset 50, temp -20C. No darks, flats, bias again used. Strange, but my camera amp glow just seems to have faded almost to nothing and my darks are now no good, kind of scary. Separate guide scope 4 inch, 1000mm efl, w/QHY5L-II at 4 sec rate. Posted image almost full frame, but a third full size.

Clear skies,
Steve
Scopes; Meade 16 LX200, AT80LE, plus bunch just sitting around gathering dust
Cameras; Atik 460ex mono, Zwo ASI1600MC-cool, QHY5L-II color and mono
