A couple of different atlases inside for some notes.
Nothing electronic at the telescope other than a voice recorder and transistor radio.

Is there still a signal to receive out there? I haven't turned on a radio in ages....
Not really, but it sure seems like it with the interweb being so ever present.

Re: The top 10 ranked astronomy apps.
There are a lot of good stations available
Other than coming on here at the start and end of my days a computer takes up very little of my day.
At times I feel the small amount I am online is to much as it is.

You should try meteoblue: https://www.meteoblue.com/en/weather/we ... ia_3057304KingNothing13 wrote: ↑Fri Jul 10, 2020 12:29 pm I only use SkySafari from that (Both on the tablet/phone and computer). And I will be using it even more when I pick up the Nexus II.

Go down the left column to Outdoor & Sports, there is a astronomical forecast there. Very detailed.

Re: The top 10 ranked astronomy apps.
On the downside, one time at a star party we were hosting, this kid asks her dad, "Which one is Leo?" and he takes out his cellphone and points it to the sky. But Leo is one of the few that actually looks like what it is supposed to be. One of our outreach stalwarts just met with some cub scouts and showed them how to use their cellphones to get apps to read the sky. And I thought to myself, "you know, it's going to be harder when you are lost in the woods with no reception or your phone just went downstream when your canoe overturned, and you don't know the sky." Just sayin'...
