What are the rules for unlocking the photography forum so we can post?

I believe the Astrophotography Photos Forum is simply a placeholder for the sub-forums under it.
Click on the appropriate sub-forum, and post away!

Thank you. I saw the X and assumed one must have a certain number of posts or something before it was unlocked, oops!

I asked the same thing the other day! . I wanted to post some links and all the time it was staring me in the face.. This doesn't bode well for observing, does it?

I think we see what we are looking for. Years ago I had trouble seeing the great red spot of Jupiter. I looked nd looked, but could not see it. I assumed that my telescope at the time did not have the power I needed. One night I went in and looked up Jupiter on Stellarium. Then I went out to my telescope and looked in the same spot. There it was! From that day on I haven't had trouble seeing it. I think my mind was blocking my view because it didn't know what to look for.
