Great review!

Last night I stayed up late and looked at M31. Pretty impressive views of M32 and M110 for the level of aperture.

Really nice review. I read this several months ago and ordered the Onesky. Of course it has taken me until now to get my act together. And it's cold and snowy. But I put it together on a wooden stool-pod as seen on the CN site some time ago. I also had a StarBlast tracking mount that I bought on impulse years ago because I thought it was cool. They make a good pair. With the wi-fi adapter, it becomes a full go-to system run by my iPad. I say this in theory because I haven't been out other than to peek at the moon when it first came in. I'll post a first light when I get a few nice nights.

Michael - I went into the "Articles and Reviews" section of this forum for the very first time and found your article. Very nice review!

I put up a post last year on AF where I used tube rings on my collapsible 130mm Newt (after taking off the long dovetail bar):

The only problem is that the rings cannot be attached to the OTA when the tube is retracted. So the OTA cannot be attached to the tabletop in a retracted position.

I looked through one at the Moon and Orion. Pretty awesome. Little guy does big things. Impressive and yeagh, goes to fund a good cause when buying new from either AWB or a retailer. There is a article too if you search for REVIEWS of this little guy where a man wrote an article along with the photographs he took and euipment used to take them which is also oretty impressive, Moon, Saturn and Jupiter, all crisp images. He hooked up a heavy dslr camera and was good with it, got it to work. Sorry, didnt save the link. But Googling AWB REVIEW WITH PICTURES is what I belived I searched and found it after a couple scrolls down.

I have owned a One-Sky for a couple of years now. Back when our club was doing public outreach star parties, I always brought the One-Sky along with me. I would set it up right next to my main rig. After people would view something through my scope they almost always wanted to know how much did that rig cost? After they get over the sticker shock, I show them the same object in the One-Sky and tell them it only cost $200. I think I've "sold" a few of these guys for the AWB organization.
