M76 - one more down

Decided to work on my
Messier list on Friday night. This was a tough one given my short focal length. Did a 2X drizzle on 70 frames with L-Enhance filter. Cropped this pretty hard. 120g @ 120sec. Every time I image one of these small planetaries I start thinking about adding a long
FL scope.... This hobby is evil...
One more to check off the list!

Looks good. M76 is also a nice target visually.

Great job at imaging the Messier's! I sure enjoyed tracking them down visually. It was like an obsession. Got to 91 and ran out of available photons for my 5" newt in Bortle 7-8 skies. Had a blast though!
How many have you snagged?

I have never looked at it visually but will definitely try in my
dob next time I set it up. Thanks for the tip.

I've imaged 55 so far. 1/2 way there. The summer Messiers are tough from my backyard because of obstructions to the South and Summer fog. Think I'll need to plan a mini marathon in the mountains to pick up all those Summer globs!
