So just uploaded my first 36 Messier objects into the gallery Fun to build a catalog of all these. Many need work but figure I can keep improving this over the years as my skills improve.

app.php/gallery/album/229

Now I need to fill out the log!

That's a fine set of images. Your M45 shows the nebulosity really well.

4 more to the first award milestone. Just done that myself, it's a buzz!

Regards

Graeme

Decisions, decisions. Thinking M8, M20, and M16. Given I'm going to have limited clear skies, debating whether to shoot these in duoband first using my L-Enhance or just start with a couple of hours of RGB on each first. With the summer fog cycle and late sunset, I'm lucky to get 2 hours of imaging in so going to have to prioritize. Really fun to start photographing these targets I've only seen thru my Dob. As an aside, I will be breaking the Dob out to look at one of my favorite Messier's. M24. That star cloud in a LP eyepiece just takes my breath away and always reminds me of the line from 2001, "My God, it's full of stars....."
