SpaceX claims some success in darkening Starlink satellites

"WASHINGTON — SpaceX says it will take more steps to reduce the impact of its Starlink satellite constellation on astronomy, although astronomers disagree with statements by Elon Musk that the system will have “zero” effect on their work."

I heard their claim yesterday during their launch show online: “Preliminary results show a notable reduction,” they said during the webcast. For me, all I've seen posted online indicates very much otherwise.

That's bad news. I believe Mr. Musk's credibility on this topic is lacking.

The mere fact that some actions are being taken to 'darken' them should point out that there is indeed a problem!
