The 2010s: Decade of the exoplanet
From Ars Technica:
"The last ten years will arguably be seen as the "decade of the exoplanet." That might seem like an obvious thing to say, given that the discovery of the first exoplanet was honored with a Nobel Prize this year. But that discovery happened back in 1995—so what made the 2010s so pivotal?"

We live in exciting times, for sure.

Re: The 2010s: Decade of the exoplanet
As increasingly sophisticated instrumentation and techniques are honed, we are indeed poised for even greater breakthroughs in the 2020's. Looking forward to finding that earth-like planet with oxygen and water. One day it will happen.

I like looking/observing stars that have planets. It is a very intriguing and mystifying observation. Stellarium makes it very easy. Right click the image.
