May new moon 2021: See Mercury, Venus and Mars in the moonless evening sky
From Space.com:
"The new moon occurs Tuesday (May 11) at 3 p.m. EDT (1900 GMT). That same day the moon reaches apogee, the furthest point from Earth in its orbit, and in the days afterward the young moon will pass by Mercury and Venus in the evening sky."

Re: May new moon 2021: See Mercury, Venus and Mars in the moonless evening sky
Hi Stephen. Thanks for your reminder about this occasion. And, speaking of Mercury, this planet reaches greatest eastern elongation of 22 degrees from the sun on May 17th. Weather and skies permitting, this may be a great time for those of you that haven't observed it yet with naked eye, in binoculars, or a telescope. A great report Stephen, and the best of regards.
