Scientists have discovered X-rays coming from Uranus

#1

Post by smp »

From CNN.com:
"(CNN) - Uranus is emitting X-rays, and scientists want to take a closer look.
That's the mysterious conclusion of a new study, which analyzed two visuals of the planet and discovered X-ray activity for the first time."

https://www.cnn.com/2021/04/01/world/ur ... index.html

I don't think this is an April Fool thing - apologies if it turns out to be.

Interesting article Stephen, thanks! I know it won't happen in my lifetime, but sending a pair of probes to actually go into orbit around Uranus and Neptune instead of only a fly by would be the thing.
Aw heck, send three; Pluto could use some orbiting loving as well :D

Thanks again and all the best,
Mark
