Adjacent to the million-acre Boundary Waters Canoe Area Wilderness, which was recently designated an International Dark Sky Sanctuary, the 220,000 acre Voyageurs National Park has just been designated and International Dark Sky Park. This is great news in the continuing effort to preserve some of the darkest skies in the Lower 48 States.
