Astronomy Photographer of the Year 2020
I am surprised that the winning photographer went to such lengths to produce that effect when it is easily done with ordinary image processing software!

It is no surprise that Alexandria Hart won the Solar Division. She's the best solar imager in the world. I'm a big fan.
Here she is talking about the image...

The Moon Jupiter conjunction is cool!
The Albireo picture is really sad.

Note that the young winner is an 11-year-old girl who lives somewhere near the Indian Ocean.

Re: Astronomy Photographer of the Year 2020
Really surprised to hear these comments on the western side of the Pond. Comments have been the opposite on the UK forums, (which include other Nationals). Most people cannot understand why the winner was awarded - in fact most Astrophotographers think it is awful.
I really think they should re-name this competition, Astroart competition. To say it is Astronomy Photographer leads one to think it is Astrophotography, which clearly it isn't it's all arty farty stuff that gets the awards.
