Ray's Messier Log

#1

Post by Raymondhow »

Well the badges here sure are tiny, but why not. Here's my Messier log started in 1968, completed in 2014.
I've been revisiting them with the 12.5", but haven't completed that tour yet.

Only need the M110 badge, not the earlier ones.

Thanks!
Ray

Congrats on completing the list. It's always fun to revisit these items with a larger aperture. Your singular badge is on the way

BTW, the badges when I designed them were quite large. Unfortunately to fit it in the space given it has to shrink it way down.

Cheers,
JT

Nice!
I don't have any records back to 1968, but that is the same year I started this journey :)

Thanks Jeff. In 1968 I was 15 years old, got a 60mm refractor for my birthday and started a notebook. I logged 17 Messier objects over the next three years. Managed to keep the notebook, one of the few things I still have from back then.

Didn't really get back to astronomy till 45 years later. I had stayed away too long, was glad to be back! :)
