If you are thinking of starting solar observation or photography, this booklet will get you started:



The third edition contains new photos and better presentation of graphics. There is a new section on taking quick shots using just a DSLR and filter. I find this useful while snatching a quick break at lunchtime or using a short break in the cloud.

If you have already bought a previous version. don't worry! My annual summary "2021 An Astronomer's Year" will contain the updates to my other #astronomy writing.
