Altair Triband and Quadband filters
Hi there, Nick from Altair here. I'd like to thank Admins from allowing me to post about new products here! Much appreciated!
Firstly, I thought I'd introduce the new Altair Astro Quad-band and Tri-band filters:
Product info & specs:
Altair QuadBand Filter
Altair TriBand Filter
We had a kickstart in the Altair Astro Facebook Group here, so you can see images taken with these filters mainly by customers in Germany, the USA and UK.
The Tri-Band filters will ship sometime near the end of this month, followed by the Quad-Band a week or so after that. If you want to be notified when ready just click the "Notify me when available" link on the product you prefer.
Best regards,
Nick, Altair

Thanks for the info, Nick! I'd sure like a TriBand
Funny you should post this; I've been looking at this scope, the Starwave ASCENT 102ED F11, thinking that this is going to be my first "new scope" purchase. You folks make nice products!

Hi Nick,
Regarding the notifications.
Click on your profile button up at the top right of the page(next to your notifications button), then open your user control panel.
From the control panel select board preferences and then edit notifications and away you go.

When you open the "Edit notifications" under board preferences it gives you the option to receive your notifications on the board or as a email.altair_astro wrote: ↑Tue Jul 23, 2019 6:30 am Many thanks, I just found it Is there a way to setup email notifications to inform of responses to my posts or questions?
So you could subcribe to or bookmark this topic and ask that those notifications be sent to you via email.

Only a pleasure to help you Nick.
Post any queries or questions and we will always be happy to assist.
The PM's should be available for you soon, these are measures put in place to keep the malfeasance out and the good guys in.

Re: Altair Triband and Quadband filters
Hi Guys, here's a short YouTube video by Astrostace (who was on the TriBand kickstart) about a processing workflow in APP - how to extract the channels, Debayer, etc.
There's more on the website now too here with various tutorials: https://www.astrostace.com/astropixel-p ... -tutorials
Hope it helps
Best, Nick

Re: Altair Triband and Quadband filters
Hi there, I imagine it would depend on the artefact type, and I guess camera settings, filter position, optical system, focal ratio, sky conditions, target type, processing, scope, etc. So many variables there.
We do have images taken with our filters posted on our Facebook group, so it may help to check there? Here's the link: https://www.facebook.com/groups/altairastro/
Best, Nick

Re: Altair Triband and Quadband filters
Many thanks to Nick. My Triband that I pre-ordered was due to be shipped tomorrow but it arrived this morning !. How's that for service. A couple of hours before the Sun sets and there's lots of clear blue sky, hope it stays that way .
