If you have any target suggestions for the July 2020 challenge we would love to hear them!

You can put forward a suggestion for the Northern hemisphere or the Southern hemisphere or both if you like!
Also remember our 9th magnitude limit.

Let us know what tickles your fancy for July 2020 and post your suggestions to this topic.
We look forward to hearing them!

For up North, how about M12? Smaller and less dense but more colourful than it's famous big brother M13.

Regards

Graeme

Two star clusters with names, one open, the other a glob.

For the North M29 (the Cooling Tower asterism)a Mag 6.6, open cluster in Cygnus. It's pretty easy to tell why it is named this.

For the South - C78, the Cacciatore cluster - Mag 7.3 globular cluster (so named for the discoverer, not the Italian dish) in Corona Australis.

Cheers and have fun,
JT
