Here's my December challenge submission of M78:

Captured 30/12/19
Celestron 9.25 SCT
CGX mount unguided tracking
Canon 600D
29 of 100 Lights 45 seconds at 3200 ISO
50 Darks
100 Bias
Stacked in DSS
Processed in Star Tools.
Stretched a bit more, colour balanced and saved as a png in Gimp.

Saw your M78 submission. I noted the "29 out of 100 lights" Ouch! Something must have gone wrong... Clouds... right ???

Anyway, you got something that you could work with.

Clouds and mount movement! When I stacked all the subs the final image showed each star three times. A subsequent shuffle gave me 47 subs but the result wasn't much improved.
