NGC 253 (from November)

Post by BABOafrica »

The challenge for October was NGC 253.

Nobody posted anything. So, even though I was unable to capture this until November, I decided to post it here.

That must also be called the sculptor galaxy IIRC. Nice image! So you have a new camera, is this one better than the a1?

Nice image of a challenging target Babo.

NGC 253 was a bit too low down for a 51° North latitude! Added to that, October was a washout here!

I propose Babo for the October win!

Regards

Graeme

Actually I had this camera for quite a while -- the X-M1. I'm using it only because I sent me X-A1 to have it modded at LifePixel. I followed in your footsteps.

The X-M1 is not good for AP if only because DSS cannot process the images. I have to use SEQUATOR and I don't like using that program.

I normally use my X-M1 for daytime photography.

If all goes well, I will get a Fuji X-A2 for Christmas... Then I'll be using the modded X-A1 and the non-modded X-A2 for AP. (They have the same sensor so the two cameras are compatible.)

BTW, Henk, how is your modded X-A1 doing ???

Hi Joe. The X-a1 is doing great.

I now have a semi-permanent dual scopesetup, permanent for my mount. I tried it one time and it works well, saves me a lot of time. It's easy to take the dual scopes off with the electronics and my PA is conserved. See my threads. I need another timer.

If you follow the news, I just dodged a wildfire that spread quickly and came down the hill. I saw the glow through the trees across the street but it moved east thankfully.
