M 17, A Sketch.

#1

Post by KingClinton »

Here is my digital version of my original paper sketch of M17.

I have taken a photo of the sketch and put that through Startools like any other astro image and given it some life and colour.
I will post up the original and this digital in the sketching forums over the weekend.

This was loads of fun, the sketch took me almost 40 minutes to put it on paper at the eyepiece and another hour messing about with it in startools.
Scope used- Orion XT8, 25mm eyepiece.

Hope you enjoy my digital version of M17.

I always enjoy your original sketches. But adding the digital aspect to it is a great idea!

Nice KC.

It never would have occurred to me to process a sketch through an image processor.

I would not even know where to begin!

That looks remarkably like what I've seen through the eyepiece.
Well done!

Great job Clinton and that is one sweet sketch. I wish I could do something like that. My sketches leave a lot to be desired.

Very interesting idea, Clinton! StarTools on the original sketch! Now, that's imagination at work!

It turned out quite well.

Thanks Joe. It's something I have seen a lot of on other forums and it's a lot of fun.
The avatar is from the new Hubble image, see link.

If you check out my blog the image is much larger there. If in doubt, click on my profile and then again on the "go to website" tab, should get you there.
