January challenge

About the only thing I accomplished for the challenge this month was a mediocre image of M78. Not for lack of trying. I took several hundred light frames over the course of several nights but for some reason I was jinxed this time around. I could only get 8 of those frames to stack in DSS.

So here it is:

Thanks Joe, and appreciate your efforts. I know you're not happy with it, but I can certainly tell what the object is and the other NGC portions of the complex are visible. I know how it is sometimes with our best intentions, and not achieving a particular goal. But still we persist because of our love of the night sky. :)
