C11 - December Challenge from Kent UK

#1

Post by Graeme1858 »

I got out last night for a practice run with the NINA auto focus routine. That didn't go too well but the Bat mask did the job. So I got set up to image the Bubble Nebula. 7 images got captured before the clouds came rolling across to end the show.

7 x 360 second lights at -10°C, 125 gain.
5 x darks, 20 flats, 20 dark flats.

C11 - Bubble Nebula-181220 s.jpg

It clearly needs more data but I'm a bit pleased with it!

Regards

Graeme

Very nice image Graeme!

Glad that you got a chance to get out.

Hate to hear about your AF issues in N.I.N.A. I still use the BM with APT.

You’ll get it going soon. Good luck and nice job!

Thanks Jim

The Bat Mask does a good job so I'm not too fussed. More practice is all that's required! I tend to only set up when the sky is completely clear. Perhaps going for semi cloudy skies too for skills honing sessions would be the way forward!

Regards

Graeme

Nice Bubble.

The clouds always come when you need more data.

Very nice Graeme, definitely can tell what the object is with its delicate bubble structure. Well done! :)
