M29 July Challenge from Kent UK

Here's my M29, the cooling tower July Challenge submission.

20 x 100 second exposures at 1600 iso. No calibration frames.

Guiding didn't seem to want to work earlier so by the time I realigned and sorted it, it was getting a bit late to get much more data. 100 seconds appears to be a bit shy for catching nebulosity.

I did get to add another one to my Massier tally though!

Nice image Graeme. Unfortunately M29 is visually quite boring in my view. Wide field views are the best way to appreciate what little it has to offer. I find it is one of those objects that you check off as seen/imaged and quickly move on. :)

Thanks Alan

I suppose there would be more with a longer exposure. But I'll move on!

To get the nebulosity, I think you need a modded camera to capture the Ha and even then, you would need 5 min subs.

All the same, nice capture.
